2016 Yukon Danali XL Front Camera repair issue

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a 2016 Yukon Denali XL and experienced a malfunction of the front camera that is used for lane departure warnings. My dealer states that there are no repair parts available for this and that it may be a lengthy period of time before any become available. Has anyone experienced this or have any knowledge on this topic?

What is the malfunction?

Did you contact another dealer?

Your dealer saying repair parts are not available and won't be for a long period of time is his problem and is an unacceptable response. Forget the parts, tell your dealer to order a new camera or take one off a truck on the lot, his choice.

The "Failure" is a start-up dashboard warning that reads "Service Front Camera" and the lane departure warning no longer functions. The service manager also indicated that the reason no parts were available was due to a "possible change" in the rat. I failed to add that they did not want to take a camera from a vehicle off the lot due of incompatibility with the computer system.

Hello Tj1,

We understand how important it is to have reliable technology in your Yukon, and apologize for any inconvenience this camera concern has caused. We would be more than happy to reach out to your dealership for some clarification on this matter, and provide any updates if possible. Just send us a private message with your VIN, full contact information, current mileage and involved dealer.

All the best,

Julianne M.
