BFGoodrich T/A KO2 LT305/55R20

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried this size (preferably this specific tire) on their 2500 with factory 20" wheels? It's the only 20" size that I can fine that comes close to matching the factory LT265/60R20 specifications for load capacity. Max load seems right, OD & RPM is only 2% off so speedometer will only be off by 1.5 mph at 70.

Will the extra 1.7" of SW cause rubbing since it is only .85" bigger on each side of the tire?

Max pressure only 65 psi? Will it squirm more? I love the tow quality with the factory SRAs and would like to preserve that....but I would like a slightly more aggressive looking tire.

BFG max load max pressure t. depth weight rim range des width section w tread width OD RPM

3,195 lbs. 65 psi 15/32" 61 lbs. 8.5-11" 9.5" 12.4" 10.2" 33.2" 626

For comparison, here is a KO2 in 275/60R20 on the factory wheels with a CCM leveling kit. These tires are approx 1" taller than the stock 265/60R20...

No rub either...

So just reading through this thread...I still have the stock tires on and plan on running them until they need replacing. I've always had BFG's on my trucks. The one thing I don't miss though is airing down and airing up whenever I have to haul a load. It seemed that if you ran the max psi on the BFG's, I'd get bounced all over the road and it was a terrible ride with even the slightest bump shaking the truck. Of course that was in my 2002 2500HD and not sure if things have changed since then.

The stock tires are at the psi rating inside the door jamb and it rides fine. Are you guys that are running these BFG's on your trucks running them at the max psi in order to save the headache of aring up and down or do you have them at something else? Just curious for when I'm ready to change over.

I plan on getting them at Costco too, can't beat the prices.

I air down the factory good years to get a better ride unloaded

BFG KO2's will fit on stock 20's as other members have shown. I have them on 20x9's with 12mm offset and had to trim my front inner mudflap corners about 1". Only had a minor rub at full lock. I haven't tried, but looking at the spare tire area I would guess a 33" tire would fit just fine.
