Roof Height For 6" Lift & 35s?

Recommended Posts

I apologize if there's a thread somewhere or if this answer is buried in the 100+ page threads...

For those who have a 6" lift and 35s, do you know how tall your roof is at the highest point? Trying to see if it'll fit in my garage!

Thanks in advance!

That seems really low. 80" is only 6.5 ft.

Its a 6" BDS with fox coilovers and 35" Trail Grapplers. Maybe they don't have the coilovers maxed out?? I don't know

Nah not at all man, you're good. Funny thing is I've kinda felt like it seemed kinda low too for a 6" lift and 35's. But the back is as high as it'll go since its blocks and shocks and the front may have a little more height but we wouldn't want it to sit higher than the rear.

Maybe someone else can measure theirs and chime in.

And OP, I double checked the height and it could possibly be 81" to the shark fin but I didnt have anything to use as a straight edge to get an accurate measurement.

looks good, rim & tire size - Does it clear most parking ramps ( 6'8") marking ????

If the measurements were exact by just math then it should be 82". Stock height is 73.9" so make it 74". Plus the 6" for the lift then it's 80". Then 35s are 3 1/2-4" taller than factory and divide that in half so that's about 2" taller by tires. So 74+6+2=82. But, you have tire pressures that will change the heights and also as the tires wear the height actually gets lower since the diameter gets smaller from the tread wearing. Also from what I understand, with a level or lift the lift may not be exactly what is advertised because of suspension geometry (so a 2" level may actually be about 1 3/4" of actual height) and then over time I think the suspension will settle a tad.

I remeasured using a 4 foot level and the exact height on mine is 81 inches. My tires are less than a month old so the worn tire theory doesn't apply. We should all know by now that not all of these trucks are the same exact height from the factory.

I don't recall my numbers when I had a 2" RC level but I do remember them being slightly lower than I had read other members having before and after their level..

Thanks for the info. I also have an All-Terrain so seeing yours motivates me even more to get this done. I love my level and 33s but it's just time. You like the BDS lift? I'm between that and Pro Comp
