Cover for Hole in front of Cup Holders

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, First post here. 2016 GMC Z71 SLE. I've scoured this section of the forum for 2 days, and used the search function, but can't seem to find anything on this. Are there any options out there to cover that deep hole in front of the cup holders on the 40/20/40 bucket seat set up? I know in previous years, people bought extra cup holders, but the cup holders are stationary in 2016+ from what i'm gathering.

I've even considered getting some kydex and trying to make just a flat shelf or something for it. I wouldn't mind storing stuff in that basin, but I hate seeing clutter.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Are you talking about the console that folds up to make a bench seat or the console that is permanent between 2 bucket seats? I think you have people confused here. I see your truck is an SLE is why I ask.

Ah that's what I thought. The picture in the 2nd post above is with the jump seat style cab. No middle console. I do agree with you that there needs to be some kind of cover there as it seems a useless space in my book. My dad just got a 16 F-150 and the console in it is much more usable IMO.

  • 2 months later...

I picked kydex in case I had to mold anything to make it fit. Plus I could use the extra for a sheath or holster later on.

This is the link for what I bought.
