As raptordude said crank sensor? I would check both your crank sensor and your cam sensor. Haven't heard of too many having chain problems but that's where your headed if everything else is good

My truck would crank and start for a split second and then die right away when my crank sensor went bad. Other times it would run fine and without warning die while driving. No sputtering, no lights what so ever. Dead on the road in a heartbeat
