I believe the shock body is larger diameter, similar to what King did on their 3.0.

Correct. Lots of guys gets away with not installing aftermarket UCA's with the 2.0 setup as well.

I believe UCA's are recommended for the 2.5 + setup.

Yeah I'm running King 2.5 on my 16 with stock steel arms. The ride is amazing.

If you're not off-roading constantly, the 2.0 setup would work great.

Those King 2.5's are a pretty badass setup for high-speed off-roading/extreme off-roading..

I would keep an eye on your LCAs/UCAs/CVs, due to below though.

They're not "needed" but definitely worth the money to correct the angles. My upper ball joint was making all kinds of noise (Fox coilovers installed) until I installed new arms. The quality of Cognito UCAs are definitely higher than the OEM arms too.

Do you know what size lift ArizonaPatriot is running to produce those angles?

I believe King 2.5 front coilovers/rears w/ aftermarket UCA/LCA (for mid-long travel).

Arizona - please chime in if I'm wrong.

So I should get the 2.0 and I'll be fine?

Do I need new control arms too?

2.0s will work great for daily use.

You can stick without new UCAs for now...just inspect your angles/ball joints/tie rods in 10k miles or so.

I have 25k miles right now on the truck. What makes the OEM Rods not hold up?

Recommend a brand to use and price?

For 2.0 Coilovers? King, Icon, Fox, and soon to be Bilstein.

For aftermarket UCA's? Mazzulla, Camburg, Cognito, Icon, Total Chaos.

If you live up north with lots of road salt/snow, go with a boxed UCA. The road salt will eat away at the uni-ball design faster.

If you live down south like myself, an uni-ball UCA will work even better.

i got a set of fox 2.0 in the garage havent had time to put them on... They are height adjustable so you can set them at 2 then once you get your uca you can crank them up some more

Exactly. Definitely a good strategy to prolong the life.
