2005 trailblazer transmission problems

Trans went out of 2005 trailblazer 4.2.I bought a rebuilt one from a 2003 4.3 sonoma switched bellhousing and used 4.2 converter paid a guy to install and now it does absolutely nothing when put in gear.any ideas where this went bad would be greatly appreciated

Ill double check fluid level today and both transmission looked the same but guess I need to find out out ifvthe 4l60e from 2003 4.3 is really the same or not

First thing I'd be checking is fluid level. If it's full, it's possible the converter or pump is bad, or maybe that converter isn't compatible with that tranny. From there it could literally be 10,000 different things.
