2016/17 Nav Disc Update - Worse Than Original!

Recommended Posts

I recently updated the Navigation system in my 2014 High Country, to the newest 2016/17 disc, and it is now WORSE than the original, in terms of providing clear, on-time driving instructions.

Curious if anyone else is experiencing this also? Thanks - Rick

I've got an Android phone also, but would have expected with such a high dollar truck, and $150 nav upgrade, that it would get better, not worse ya' know!?!?

The nav system in my buddies 2014 Lexus sedan BLOWS my trucks system away...........

Yea, i know what you mean. It would be nice if a good, working nav system would come standard. but i have yet to see one that works better than my free google maps. The only downfall is i can't see the map when i'm talking on the phone i don't always turn bluetooth on.

sorry your upgrade was a disappointment. I would complain to whoever took your money. maybe they'll refund it if you can show it was a downgrade.

Problem is GM and or the company they use for navigation only has soo much budget for mapping and updates, none of those companies can compete against Google and Google Maps. I wont bother with the NAV upgrade every again unless it is the only way to get the upgraded sound system.

I love my factory nav. I know it's hard to believe but I don't own a cell phone. So I count on my factory nav.How can you beat it sitting on your couch and program your destination from it on the gmc app. Also I like the turn comes up in the screen in front of you.I just ordered the update.
