Havoc5454's 2016 Silverado

Had a few requests for a build thread so I figured I'd start one. I picked up my baby back in August, it's a 2016 Silverado Crew Cab Z71 in Tungsten Metallic.

Here it is the week I got it, already had 5% tint done.

Sent it off to have a 2/4" drop and I also put on a pair of 24X10" rims with 305s all the way around.

I also put on a pair of black bow ties on the front and back and took all of the decals off. The only thing I kept was the Silverado on the tailgate and the Z71 in the grill.

Then I tinted the tail lights and third brake light.

Next I added a cold air kit and wired some 2 12" subs under the rear seat.

That is all I have done to this point, if you have any questions about anything or want any specific pictures feel free to ask.

This is how she sits as of today.

Looks good. What box was that and how much cubic feet for the 12's?

Here is all the specs on the box

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_89336_Bbox-by-Atrend-A184-12CP.html

Really impressed by the quality and sound for the price, and it's a down firing box. Only issue I ran into was the box kept the seats from laying down all the way by about 1/8" which caused them to have a horrible rattle. But I fixed that issue today with two strong magnets placed on the seat hinges.

The fix for sub box rattle issues can be found here. I've seen a lot of people having the same problem.

Thank you!

Yeah its the 24" Dub Ballers with the DDT coloring.
It is 4WD it's the Z71 package with towing. I used the belltech drop kit. I mainly just need 4wd for ice and snow and there is still some pretty good clearance left. Might throw on a supercharger later on or something and make a street rod.

Added some interior LEDS today. They change colors but I have them set to match the interior lighting right now.

I got this kit right here

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000I04Z7Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

And I just wired them into the 12 Volt port in the center console and mounted the remote in there too. Made it easy to run wires to the front and back foot wells.

I attached a video of them fading through the colors.

Yes the cigarette lighter. It is already powered by ignition so the lights come on automatically when you start the truck and turn off when you turn off the truck. Or they came with a controller that you can use to turn them off and on and change colors, patterns, etc.

The cigarette lighter? Is that what you mean by 12 volt port? Also do you have pics of the switch install? Thanks

Normally a truck like this isn't my style, but dang does it look good. Well done, sir.

With all of the other chrome removed, do you have any plans to color match the chrome up front? Would look fantastic matched to your wheels, in my opinion.

I've been debating it. I might get some material and try to wrap it or something. Is it easy to remove? I haven't looked at it too closely.

No idea how hard it is to remove. I'd bet a shop that does wraps could do it with it still on the truck.
