I'm using the max 360 which still falses more than it should. Keep an eye out for the uniden r3... it's been tested and beats the redline in performance and has great bsm filtering.

Lucky me I live in a county where all LEO use KA band so I can turn k band off. Still annoying when I drive out of town I turn it back on to be safe.

Radar detectors are useless around here, they time you with an electronic deal (not VASCAR).

Radar detectors aren't completely useless yet...

VASCAR is aerial... time from distance to distance usually captured by a trooper spotting via helicopter or airplane. So detectors are simply irrelevant in this case.

Radar detectors are useless to laser (LIDAR) since as soon as you receive the warning they have your speed... assuming you're the target. Since the beam is so focused there isn't scatter like with radar patterns. You need jammers for laser.

I use the radar detector for situational awareness and depending on detector, red light camera notification.

End of the day radar detector mfgrs are battling the built in safety systems in newer cars this making detectors "cry wolf".

I used to live in OH and the OSHP still runs X band... talk about annoying.

VASCAR isn't just aerial...they can sit and time you as well. They do it almost daily around here one timing traffic, three or four chase cars.

Agree, aerial was just an example I used.

Not sure if you are speeding or not but you might want to swallow your stash.

Radars, or radar detectors?

If it's radar and you are going below the speed limit, why would you get stopped?
