I have nothing good to say about Gmc and there political puppet system when it comes to getting a vehicle fixed. They follow nothing you tell them along with the dealership which are completely useless. I have had issues with my 2014 Denali since day one. First issue was a body defect which they LIED right to my face after having meeting behind closed doors which was I was told not to be in the grounds at that time. After they trying forcing me in to insurance on my behalf keep in mind the truck had 900km on it saying I had damaged it I lost it. I then went multiple dealership lots around the city took and made a file which I dropped off with all the same issues and was told "were not obligated to speak about these vehicles at this time". Was never fixed, and could almost break tailgate handle off to this day if not careful is what I got left with. Anyone that trys to open it look at me and ask if it is locked. They have a system set up where you get no where, and want people to give up. I now had shifting issues for 3 years which the files shown my complaints progressively getting worse. I now been with this vehicle 3 years a new transmission has been installed with 2 engineers that cant figure it out. It now wont or may not get fixed till next summer apparently when they can fly another engineer out to what I was told alter the trucks computer while driving. I have all the video of the transmission spiking a 1000 rpm at times and when towing worse. It is as if the truck between shifts momentarily goes to neutral. Then they tried blaming on adaptive shifting, well then the vehicle was falsely represented from my last one that worked perfectly fine. This one was to be soooo much better but got worse and I am worried to tow with. Pretty sad when I went to another dealership explained situation and there advise again of course at my cost was "buy a new one and that one should be better". Wow, cause you cant fix this one I have to pay again to get one that does. To boot same word from word at a event that GM had there representatives at. Drop truck off and get a new one I was told you shouldn't have them problems again.

Buyer beware the amount of lost time at work, and vehicles you might have to buy two of because the first one doesn't work might financially sink a consumer. I asked them after going with test drives, dropping the truck off a bunch times, having a personal trailer attached, etc who pays for all my lost time and diagnosis? Well no one, ohh ok I just made 4 more payments and still is not fixed. Seems fair. Well actually 30 months of payments since my first complaint that no one looked in to, but a bunch of service representatives I can see getting replaced in the future with robots. Keep getting told we need to see a light on the dash, ok well how about my camera showing what is going on? Maybe we have 2 issues computer and mechanical cause the light is not on but the truck is struggling.

Try talking to an ambassador good luck. Most conversation started with them asking me what was going on and looking for information. I was really starting to wonder if I worked for General Motors as I had more information than they said they would get me. Then you get a different customer care person which was always a point of starting over. How may I help you and what is going on? Well the file I have explained 25 times now why not explain it again to get no where.

I guess once a company like this gets so big they don't care and can just crap all over the general population. Dealer loyalty events, HAAA. There is no loyalty other than signing on that line for you to follow everything they say, but they don't have to do anything.

Sucks you had bad luck but that is one vehicle and a particular dealer. Not sure what you are trying to accomplish by crying on an internet forum you have not had any contributions to but it seems you just want to slander a company, no trip down the high road for you. If you don't like it sell the damn thing or go the lemon law route. You bought a Denali, pretty sure you can afford to get out of it unless you just really messed up lately financially.

Never understood these childish complaint threads from new or insignificant members. GMC has sold hundreds upon thousands of vehicles (we have had many) and most have never had a problem with them one bit. One dealer we did though but that was the dealer not the company. For as many times as you have complained one has to wonder if the common factor (you) is the actual problem?

Hope it all works out for you but I am not holding my breath based on this post... Thanks for your contributing post, I am sure scamming is exactly what GM is shooting for with all the press and reviews they get

GM sells 750,000 trucks each year and 99.9% are mostly fine, at least for the 3 yr / 36,000 Bumper to Bumper.

Sure some are issue trucks that just are messed up and with complex faults, and sorry you got one. GM is also not happy you got a messed up truck. But GM is not your friend.

If your dealer tells the GM Regional Sales Rep that you were (or are) a jerk to the Service Writer (or similar), your going nowhere.

Not saying this is you. - But this happens a lot.

The Dealer has great flexibility and the GM Rep can perform miracles helping customers. Choosing a Great Dealer and usually paying a bit more then the Blow the Cars Out dealer down the street can be a BIG factor if you get a problem truck. If the GM Rep is giving you the run around you may have already burnt that bridge. For the amount of aggravation you are going through, the Dealer & Rep usually would have put you in another vehicle for a discount over the regular joe buyer price. If that is not the case it may be time to just move on. Lesson Learned / or Got Screwed (sorry to say).

PS - the problem cars & trucks are often the new model year and on the lot with less than 10,000 miles on them and sold for a Great Deal except they have had or still have problems - and the good dealers will sell them at auction so not to have to deal with the issue, and the small guy dealer who really could care less gets it and blows it out without any concern about the buyer.

Buyer Beware

The 2014-2017 gmc and chevy Silverado have been giving a poor rating in reliability from many reputable sights including consumer reports. I too had a very bad experience with my truck I wish it didn't come to that but it turn me off of buying and replacing it with another GM product I ended up buying another brand and very happy so far

I'm fairly lost here...bad transmission for sure...but the rest of that rambling nonsense is pretty darn hard to follow. Don't take it too personal buddy, but do you think that some of your issues have been due to your lack of communication skills? Just asking...I mean, if I owned a dealership and you came in, visibly upset, and recited that post word for word...I'd probably think you were on the sauce and get you away from customers with children.

Am I alone in my thoughts on this?

No, you are not alone. I read though that painful post and wondered if the OP was guilty of DWP (drinking when posting).

My suggestion is to be nice and start over with a new dealer. My gut feeling is that the dealer you have been using is tired of dealing with you and not going to go out of their way to help you.

This is a dealer issue

How do you expect a conversation with customer service to begin? They have to FIRST understand the issue.

Lawyer up!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've only ever had one issue with a dealer/car in the past and the second I got a Lawyer involved it all changed.

My other suggestion is go to another dealer and just trade it. I flipped my 2014 for a 2016 and lost nothing on the deal actually came out a little ahead.

It's unfortunate that you got a bad one. I've been through it but have always been with GM even with the lemon I had IE the reason for a lawyer. But he forced a buy back in Canada which is hard as we have no lemon laws.

I have had 9 vehicles since over a span of 26 years no issues. The last two being Sierra's

Just my 2 cents worth.

But don't make yourself crazy over it life is to short.
