Emergency Light Wiring...your setup?

Recommended Posts

The plow prep package includes wiring harness and switch for roof mounted emergency lights. Understand the harness is inside the ceiling console. How did you route the wires to the roof light? I want to mount my lights on a headache rack. I don't want to drill holes in the body if possible.

Thanks

I thought about this same setup at one point, I would run the wire out through the third brake light for a quick and dirty install, or snake it down the B or C pillar and out through a body plug in the floor for a clean install.

I don't use that at all. I have trailer wiring cabling going from battery into cab to a switch box. Then running back out. Relay located at the battery side triggered by signal coming from fuse box that is only live with ignition on.

Otherwise, like mentioned above, out the 3rd brake light, or down the pillar and out.
