6.0 Supercharger (2015+)

Recommended Posts

I hear ya! Pretty basic kit I guess, comes with everything you need. 120 more HP at the wheels and 120 more Torque...that's about what, 138 at the engine. Be right about 500HP and 500 lb/ft at the motor and like stock drivability and maybe even a tad better fuel economy!? Honestly I'm happy how my stock 6.0 tows currently, can't even imagine after its blown!!!

That's a good unit IMO. If your trans will hold up it should be a lot of fun. I'm a little partial to blowers in trucks as they add torque tight off the bottom where you need it. Ran a 1.9L eaton unit in my CTSV and the off idle power was fantastic. Granted that was a 6.2L motor versus 6.0. I would not hesitate to install that unit on my truck. Cooling could be a big issue depending on what HX comes with the kit. You can never have enough cooling running a blower hard as intake temps almost always lead to pulling timing.

Call me crazy, but if I was going to supercharge a truck it would be an older one. The last thing I want to do is blow my engine up while it is under warranty but not covered because I put an aftermarket part on it.

You can go buy a 15 year old 5.3 regular cab short bed, put a supercharger on it, and have a heck of a lot more fun than you will in a 2015 2500HD. And better yet, when you blow it up, you can get in your 2500HD and go to work to pay for the new engine to replace the 5.3 you blew up.

Not saying you are going to blow anything up, but even the best of us make mistakes with our hot rods sometimes. When that hot rod is a truck that costs 40k+ or more ... I dunno, doesn't make a ton of sense to me.

But that's just me. Best of luck and while I will think you are nuts, I will also read your build thread and be slightly jealous.

You can't hurt a GM LS motor, boost away

That's why a tuner uses a A/F meter...

Why would you lean on a motor if it was knocking? Your post makes no sense.

Ok. I guess all of the people in the following links can just PM you for advice and they will be fine:

Yes you have a knock sensor, yes you have control over timing and fuel curves, and yes you can most definitely hurt an LS bottom end with a supercharger and a bad tune.

Again you are monitoring A/F via the computer AND the meter while dynotuning, unless the tuner is blind or retarded he should be able to get it correct across the board...

If vortech or procharger made a kit for the 6.0 I would order it! 6 psi with a roots air to fluid intercooler does nothing for me...

8-9 psi with an air to air intercooler & you can take my money!
