2 weeks with my new Denali and this...

I don't think it's a scratch but it's not coming off. I'm pretty sure it happened when the dealer installed the tonneau cover but I have no proof.

Looks like it could be buffed out but I'm not sure what I would need.

I've posted multiple complementary/constructive and occasional laments about my truck as a GM owner for the first time since my Olds Cutlass in 1982.

Why has a GM Rep not contacted me to say, "PM me, we'll help."?

I would take it down to the dealership and ask them if this could have been a possibility during the install. Don't be accusing or rude or mean in anyway, see what they do. In April of last year about a month after purchasing my 2012, I had the truck in for the DEF tank replacement. After I got the truck back, I noticed 2 or 3 small dents on the top of the hood. Thing is, I could not remember if they had been there before or not. The truck was used, it had a few very small dents throughout the body when I purchased it, but I could not remember if it was on top of the hood or not. Thinking that it was a possibility that it could have happened at the dealer while the truck was up on the lift, the hood might have banged into something. Not being sure, I did take it to my service advisor and he said without any questions to bring it back in a few days when their Paintless Dent Repair guy would be here and he would have them fixed. All he was concerned about was ensuring I was completely satisfied and in retaining me as a customer to them. That was good enough for me.
