Rim selection sizes on a Chevy?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I've always owned Toyotas and always built the trucks with smaller 16-17 inch rims with beefy tires. I'm getting a 5.3 soon but when I lift it I'm not a fan of the 20 inch rim style builds, is there a reason that I never see any 07-13 silverados that are not built with for instance 17 inch rims and 35 inch tires? I only seem to see people running these 20's with skinny looking 35s. I'd be getting the 6 inch fabtech lift with coilovers..does it have anything to do with the wheel wells or just the overall style of the truck? Thanks guys!

It's just the popular style. As long as the back spacing is correct and your choice of wheel will clear the break calipers. Its your rig, so run whatever you like the looks of.
