Dexter10
Have a 15 Sierra half ton and looking to do front and rear differential fluid change. Manual says 80-90 front and 75-90 rear full synthetics. Wife's 06 Yukon dealer said use 75-90 full synthetic front and rear due to living in Maine and the cold temps. This was against manual listing for front as it too said 80-90. Should I go 75-90 full synthetic front/rear on my Sierra for same principal or go 80-90 In the front like manual states? Colossus
75-90 full syn is just fine for both.
sdeeter19555
75-90 full syn is just fine for both. Agree... 75w85 is for fuel mileage, and they likely used 80w90 because it's cheaper. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk

Dexter10
Thanks guys Called my dealer today and talked with the parts guy about what they stock for fluids. He told me they buy bulk 75-90 and that is all they use in the shop for our trucks. That's interesting.
