guido1869
I am pretty sure that the running boards from my 99 silvy ext cab will fit on my 11 silvy ext cab because some of the ones that I have looked at list a fit of 99-13. Should it fit? I was wanting to rhino line them before I put them on the new truck. Any suggestions on a good diy system for that? Doesn't have to be rhino brand, it's just what I commonly call all spray in liners. Not looking for any fancy colors, just a flat black. Thanks in advance. TheGovernment
We use raptor liner aty work for stuff like that quite a bit. It stays smoother than line-x but it's just as strong.

I would prefer a rougher finish as this is a step board. Don't want it to be too slippery and have extra grip. Would Raptor be too smooth?
sdeeter19555
Not DIY, but Rhinoliner makes a soft grippy liner for such applications. They apply it to floors and whatnot in Jeeps. Sent from my SM-T350 using Tapatalk
Waterfowler41
I wrote this diy a few years ago. Would Raptor be too smooth? You use different air pressure to make the finish how you want. When I say smooth, I mean the the finish is kinda slippery vs line-x which is more tacky. It's much easier to clean. We do it on frames, truck boxes, bottoms of doors for stone chips etc. It's not cheap (in Canada anyways) but it's really good vs the cost of line-x. Krusty
Sprayed Raptor on the seat back trim and tailgate of my '62 Dart wagon. OEM was glued on rubber mat. Was real easy to do - although my garage floor still have overspray on it....... Have had running boards on a couple 1940 trucks done in the past in Line-X - hard to beat - but for DIY on an otherwise "Rat rod" - Raptor worked fine......
