Question
M.Richter
I have a strange issue with the key fob loosing it's programming on my 01 Yukon evertime I leave it at a enterprise truck rental location, the first time it happened I thought the battery was dead in my fob but it's not that! I rent a 3/4 ton truck to move my 8600lb camper a few times a year, and when I get back to my Yukon the key fob no longer unlocks my doors! It only happens if I leave the Yukon there at least overnight can all the rental cars being locked and unlocked cause this deprogramming of my Yukon? ( Keep in mind my Yukon is a 01 the rentals are all 2015-2017 GM, Ford, Chrysler Makes) or can there be someone trying to hack into vehicles? I am baffled as to what could be causing this! There has never been signs of anyone in my Yukon maybe they never got the doors to unlock? Any ideas? I take everything of value out that's easy to grab even my BlackVue Dashcam so I never have and evidence of anyone tampering with the Yukon, and enterprise doesn't have cameras watching there over flow lot at this location (they only told me cars have been stolen and/or vandelized there in the past) leaving my vehicle is at my own risk! Anyone know what could be going on? Do I need to worry my Yukon might not be there one day? They are very popular around here and mine looks like new for being 16 years old no rust, perfect paint, leather is perfect, someone might want it! It's never seen snow or road SALT! People don't believe it's age or mileage until they see it up close! I wish there was a way to get to this enterprise without driving but there's no public transportation were I live and it's 48 miles from my home. Thanks
