What new technology would like to see in these trucks?

How about a passive entry system. My Ram had it and I miss it. As long as the key fob is within about 5 feet of vehicle you just have to put your hand on the drivers door handle and all doors unlock no fumbling around looking for key fob to unlock doors when your hands are full. Not having a push button start isn't as bad as what I thought it would be coming from a truck that had one. I just bought a quick disconnect so I can unhook key fob from ignition key so it doesn't bang on steering column. Yes heated rear seats and rear vents would be nice on the higher end models.

Heated headlight housings now that leds don't put out enough heat to keep them from freezing over. And maybe some heated wiper blade glass similar to Toyota and Subaru.

Might as well throw in a little heat ring on the backup camera

I would love to see them go back to 2001 in tec on these trucks. My favorite truck was my 01 GMC as pickups go. My second favorite is my 92 I still have, if I had to I could repair it on the side of the road. No reduce power mode, no V4, not as much electronics to go funky.

It's not really technology, but something on the roof that will prevent snow on the roof from falling onto my seat every time when I open the door.

And yes, like someone said, my iPhone is so much simpler to get directions from. Every time I try to use the Nav search function I am stunned how far it misinterprets what i am saying.

I wish my 2016 Sierra had an option to automatically shut the moonroof when the ignition was turned off, my 97 ford thunderbird had that but a $58k 2016 doesn't

+1 I was just talking about this today.

1. separate the radio functions from the rest of the DIC screen. Replace the nav with a free google maps feature that updates using the data I already pay for on my cell phone.

2. get rid of onstar except for theft tracking and the remote start app, then I'll pay a couple bucks for it.

Every person in the country carries a smartphone, why pay for this crap on a truck?

3. Make the headlamps auto aim and auto adjust for level, so that loaded down trucks aren't shooting light into the sky and blinding oncoming traffic. The lights should be able to project onto the road no matter what.

My in-laws were well into their 60's before age required them get a vehicle with power-steering as an option. They did not like the risk of options increasing the potential for breakdowns! I do like most of the current options available, but I also appreciate having the choice. I don't need more features to dull my enjoyment of driving however I like seeing the continued improvements in safety, fuel efficiency and comfort.

This turned in to exactly all the other what do you wish your truck had on it threads which turns in to a list of what luxury cars have that trucks don't. Let this thread go long enough and alcantara headliner and massaging baby lamb seats will come up...

The sunroof does not need to close automatically. Down south we keep them vented to let out hot air on sunny days with the shade partially closed. You want it closed, close it...

Passive entry I hate, I don't have a purse and sitting with a wad of keys in my pocket stinks.

Never heard of an issue with rear park assist and car washes. Mine has never had an issue (really wish it hadn't come with that though)

That's the problem with LED, everyone wants these over priced look cool lights and now more expense and tech is needed to address something that didn't need to be addressed before and shouldn't need to be addressed now...

What speakers do you have? I love the Bose system in mind

I believe I have the Bose, got the large touchscreen and premium audio, but just not enough bass for my liking.

my first car, 2000 Cavalier, could rattle the windows better than this truck

A rear camera with slightly better resolution than my

Grandmothers glaucoma would be nice

The Camera on my 2016 is way better than the 2014 was. My lawn was blue on the 2014 rear camera. The camera on the 2016 has more angle on it and that has helped allot.
