I got a question...........somewhere I read you can use a 9v battery to power up the board when checking for positive / negative points on the board ?

But if you want to know the bulb polarity for LEDs here it is.

Well post #2 has the pin-out with power and grounds indicated. What are you replacing? You should just be able to unplug the old one and plug in the new one in about 5 minutes.

Replacing standard bulbs with LED 5mm blue for surrounding areas, 3mm white for the hot/cold indication.

The whole reason for me asking for the pinout and battery info is so I can power it up to make sure everything is lit before i put it all together and install it.

Word of advice, the six 4.7mm bulbs are 6.3 Volts for some odd reason and they've placed 2 in series 3 times. This was probably done to minimise luminance variation with battery voltage variation. If you are using 12 Volt LEDs you will still be good because these would have been too bright at 12 volts anyway. In the picture I posted earlier these are all 12 volt LEDs. If you ever have one of those that you're going to throw away I'll pay you shipping + if you want to send it to me or anybody else on here just PM me. It takes me about 3 hours to do a good job on one of these so I would like to have one ready that I can exchange so the client can be on is way in 10 minutes instead of 3 hours and having to come back or me mailing it to him.

Yup! Did that once! Then made myself a special pair of pliers that holds the potentiometer shaft and pulls the knob off. A little tricky but it works. Also make sure the slider is at one extreme. If I could get those knobs somewhere I would just cut them off and put new ones on.

Slider Knobs can be had at LMC Truck but they ain't cheap.
