Stuck in 4wd hi.

I have a 2000 1500 z71 and it won't come out of 4wd hi. All the lights on the switch come on when I start it. When I push 2wd it flashes and the control module clicks and it sounds like the encoder motor and the actuator sound like they are working but the 2wd light flashes a few timez and then the 4wd hi light comes on and it's still in 4wd. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try getting the truck rolling about 2-3 mph and put it in neutral and try to shift.

I'll try that tomorrow. I removed the front driveshaft just to be able to drive it for now.
