Hate disrepectful people truck damage...

Well we hd some pretty nice weather today so I took the truck out. Wife drives it to work daily. Walked around on the passenger side and saw that someone had clipped the rear door and nerf bar. Why do people not care how they drive and if you do the damage, at lest have the decency to leave a note. Sucks as the truck is not even 4 months old!

That sucks! They say the first one is the hardest to deal with. My dad used to say its better to scratch it yourself and have the satisfaction of not letting some idiot do it. I don't share his opinion. I'd rather not have scratched paint. Sorry for your luck.

I hate that for you man. I always park as far away as I can and preferably with a barrier on one side like a curb. Does not do any good though you still get the occasional rusty junker jammed up within a couple inches of your door.....................

I hate that for you man. I always park as far away as I can and preferably with a barrier on one side like a curb. Does not do any good though you still get the occasional rusty junker jammed up within a couple inches of your door.....................

When someone has a beater than isn't worth more than 1500 bucks, how could you expect them to respect someone's truck that's worth 40, 50 or 60 Gs?

I try to park away from the crowds. There are times when I see some clown in a small vehicle pull into the middle of 3 empty parking spots & still can't get it between the lines.

I did mine myself. The lawn mower hit and busted a small rock and I got three dings in the middle of my driver's side rear door. I try not to look at it.

Thanks for all the comments, yeah i almost did the first ding myself but got lucky and snagged the snow blower handle in the wheel well. Wife does try to park away from others but works at a library and although she has co- workers parked near her in the am, some leave and then the riff raff pull next to her. Lot is only so big. I will have to get this one fixed. I am betting it will cost about $800 or more. it will be a sand and repaint of door plus new chrome strip plus plastic cover on step.

I do feel for you but that's nothing compared to my front bumper. Washed my truck Saturday and realized my bumper is caved in pretty good even disabled the park assist. Parked in a different spot at work and backed in leaving the front exposed. Never noticed it because I don't approach it from the front. Now I'm checking all the cars at work for damage. Hard to understand why people can't see a giant truck when they back up.Sorry about your misfortune hope you can get a resolution.

I watch people doing it in lots with NEW cars!! they don't care at all that they are dinging their own doors as well. They just slam 'em open, right into the vehicle next to them. The worse is people with babies. They slam their doors open and then climb in to put the baby in, the whole time, jiggling that door more and scraping up the other vehicle. I hate people. Way too many stupid people around.

And if you were to ever so slightly bump one of their cars with your door while their in the car LOOK OUT!!! You would be treated like a war criminal! Meanwhile their car is a total s***Box!

My wife lost her mind when a stoner doored her brand new (within a few days) driver side with her sitting in the car, and she was in the drivers seat. She got out and approached the guy -- expecting an apology. The guy said -- and I kid you not -- "Don't worry about it. My car's a beater anyway." She got into his face and said, "Yeah, you dinged me, and I'm supposed to worry about YOUR car." Then she really lit into him. I'll never forget it, the guy looked at me as if I should call her off. Nope. A$$hole.

This happened when I was younger and more aggressive. My car was a beater so I really didn't care if it had another ding. However this A-Hole parks next to us and opens his door and dings us. He looks over and smiles. As he is getting out he dings me a second time and just laughs and walks into the store. Well lets just say after I got done with his door it had a pretty big dent in it. I screwed my own door up doing it but I got satisfaction out of it... Hopefully that was the last time he ever did that to anyone.

When this happened to me I used my foot saves wear and tear on your door.
