Great day yesterday cutting trees and clearing for a new remote cabin. 10 yrs in the making, finally pulled the plug to start. Cabin will be used for hunting and a place to get away. My buddy got the land on the remote staking program in Ak, can only reach it by boat in the summer and sleds in the winter.fa2532e1180a2d96e8b94bcd43fb70d6.jpg

That is awesome very jelous please keep us updated.

I will post pictures as we move along. Hardest part is timing the river to be able to haul our materials in, floor material next week and then walls after that. This thing called work is getting in my way, if I hadn't started a new position in the company I would take a week off.

Thats awesome!!! How far of a trip is it from where you park the truck/car to the property?

Sounds similar to my in-laws cabin in Northern Ontario. It's either across the lake by boat or sled to get to the cabin.

Looking forward to pics of the progress.

It's not that far, about 1 1/2 miles. It's secluded with no road noise. Not much progress lately as schedules and weather don't want to work in our favor. Ice is starting to get questionable too, broke through this past weekend while hauling the floor material

Going good, got most of the floor material hauled in this weekend after a fiasco last weekend of going swimming in the river. Picture is the hole my sled and I created in chest deep water at 2 above on the thermometer. Did not get a pic of the sled still in the water as I was worried about getting it out and then dry clothes and warmth for me. 43fee845c2150eaf26db36d352490f26.jpg
