Rigid Industries fog light kits -

Recommended Posts

I have a 2015 Chevy 1500. 6.5" lift, 20x10s and 35s. Im wanting to upgrade the fog lights. I have found that Rigid Industries makes a bracket that holds either 2 square cubes on each fog light hole, or 1 SR-Q light in each fog light hole.

I am wanting the SR-Q lights, but cant decide which to get. The Spot, the flood or the diffused. The spot has 10 degrees of light, flood has 20 and diffused has 60.

I am not trying to blind EVERYONE on the road ( i mean 6.5" lift i pretty much hit the people infront of me right in there rearview mirror anyway..), so i am thinking the "Flood" SR-Q's?

Has anyone ran these?? https://www.theretrofitsource.com/chevrolet-square-morimoto-xb-led.html

Any input?

Thanks!

I went with the SR-M and I love them. I only levelled my truck and have never been "flashed" by oncoming vehicles. They are extremely bright but I think they are far enough down.

I think whatever option you get, with the lift on your truck, you are going to be flashed. Not sure if these will fit or not, but they do make SAE compliant fog lights: http://www.rigidindustries.com/led-lighting?f[0]=field_product_family%3a4225

Here's my setup:

That looks great! im trying to avoid the two lights per hole- just because my roommate has a white dodge that looks identical to mine ( lift tires rims etc) and he already has the two lights per hole...

Ya, I hear ya... Don't want to look too much alike lol. I was initially going to go with the SR-Q's but I really liked the staggered look of the SR-M's. Either one you choose they are great lights. You said he has the same setup as you; does he get flashed when he has his fog lights on? If he does, I think you'll have the same issue no matter what one you choose.

You can probably see them behind my grill in the above pictures - I have four D-series lights wired up to my high beams. Those definitely would blind on-coming traffic lol. Great lights for the back roads though.
