2017 Tahoe with Z71

Recommended Posts

Long time reader of the forum and first time poster. I have read the entire thread on the booming and buffeting issues andante trying to make a well informed decision

I am considering getting a 2017 Tahoe with Z71 and Luxury package. I am not getting a sunroof due to height issues (head hits ceiling when there is a sunroof)

I believe I have only found on person report the booming or buffeting with a z71 Tahoe. I went on a 20 mile test drive and did not notice any issues and I am sensitive to noise and pressure. Last year I test drove an Escalade ESV and it was immediately noticeable.

I do not want the car I test drove as it was the wrong color, not keeping a black car parked outside, and it did not have a bench in second row.

Can anyone with a z71 Tahoe chime in with your experience.

Thanks

Probably seeing this too late haha,  but as of yet I haven't noticed any issues with the buffetting or booming with our '16 Z71.  I believe the issue is where the roof sheet attaches to the structural cross bows so I do not think a Z71 should be any less prone to it than any other trim but I hear it mostly from LTZ owners ironically.
