20x10's or 20x12's on a Stock Height 2016 2500hd?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking for some fitment advice on my 2016 2500hd ccsb lml. I want to keep my stock ride height/suspension settings with plastic trimming but avoid metal cutting. I want to get a somewhat "wider" stance/tread width and displace the weight a little better on the soft beach sand down here in the Outer Banks. Any suggestions? Thanks!!

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the feedback, I actually decided to go a slightly different route. I spoke to the guys over at CST and Trail Ready and decided to buy a set of CST Extended Travel UCA's + Keys, I then bought a set of Trail Ready HD20 Beadlocks in 20 x 9.5 with a 4.5 inches of backspacing. I plan on ordering some Toyo Open Country RT's in 33x12.5R20 here shortly when the wheels are shipped. My theory behind all of this is that eventually I'll get CST's 4-6 inch lift kit and will be able to reuse their UCA's and these wheels will still be compatible. I went with beadlocks so I can air down as far as I need to for the sometimes extremely soft sand of Nags Head. I hope to be getting this stuff on the truck soon and will take some pics and post. Maybe it's time to start a build thread...lol.
