Does the factory offer a spring loaded tailgate?

I see people raving about the DeeZee lowering gas shock, but the torsion bar I saw installed on utube looked like some guaranteed rust holes in the near future.

What other options are there?

Do you have line-x? Spray in bed liners will cause them to drop a little faster with the added weight. I noticed a difference when I had my liner done. Noticeable, but not a big deal for me.

this slows it coming down, Tail Gate Bushing, RIGHT - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (22966936), this makes it easy to lift, Torque Rod - 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (25889653).

I called the dealer, they said I have to change the tailgate also.

No... My 14 had the issue my 15i does not.

Same here, 14 went down with a clunk, 16 slowly drops. Both with bed liners.
