2017 Ike Gauntlet

Recommended Posts

Hilarious! Mr. Truck can't stand that a GM came out on top again! I think he needs to load his personal f250 like they did with the chevy 6.0 and see how bad his precious truck is. These tests are foolish to begin with but since they still can't get GM to lose I love it!

If the Ford struggled up the hill w/ the reduced load, I wondered how it would've handled the load Ford says it will tow?

It would be nice to see. But I doubt that will happen, it is his personal vehicle. They would rather load a Chevy to its abso9ute limit and race it up the hill, flooring it all the way to the point of getting cramps in his foot. Then complain about how slow it is and how hot the dash is, meanwhile it beat the Dodge gas truck by a large margin. With a smaller less powerful engine that everybody thinks should be replaced with something more powerful- you know "to keep up with the competition". They are Ford fans they wouldn't risk letting a lowly Chevy 6.0 hand them their a**es. That's why the Ford gasser hasn't done the Ike fully loaded.

There is another vid where Mr Truck uses his own f250 gasser. Only towing 6 or 8000lbs. If I remember correctly it was against a f150 raptor. Hahaha

Mr. Truck is a baffoon. I cannot believe anyone listens to his BS. I like truck vids but Roman, Andre, and Truck are hard to watch.

That test annoyed me. They bitched most of the run only to find it handed the 6.4 it's ass (convincingly, too). One thing their Ike runs show is how well the GM 6.0 and 6.6 trucks are balanced for their intended use.

Having said this, I wouldn't be against GM hitting it out of the park with a new HD gasser. The 6.6 will continue to be the best all round HD diesel.

They keep doing the same test over and over, but I guess that's their thing.

I took this route in my 6.0. I wasn't anywhere near max capacity for towing, but I had a lot of gear in the truck/truckbed and in the towed vehicle. It really wasn't that big of a deal, but I could see how the downhill could be stressful if your truck isn't that capable. Great scenery and cool part of the world, though.
