I'm back...

Recommended Posts

Well sorta. Those of you who remember, I traded my 2014 Sierra in last summer for a 2017 Hyundai Santa Fe. Well, the Santa Fe wasn't cutting it for me.

I didn't want another full size pickup, but I decided on a Chevy Colorado. So I'll be back on the forums again more frequently. But more related to the Coly's and Canyons.

But I wanted to drop a line to everyone in here.

My new truck is a Black, 2017 Chevy Colorado Z71, Crew Cab, Short Bed. 3.6L V6 with 8 Speed. The 3.6 has plenty of power, and the 8 speed is outstanding. I really like this truck.

That's funny, I did the same thing in 2015 the difference is I still have an old Chevy for truck duty. I love the Santa Fe and I too am waiting for excitement to die on the midsize and be priced better. The only bad thing about Hyundais is you buy them you have to keep them awhile, the trade in value sucks.

Welcome back! Your informed and objective contributions have been missed! I look forward to hearing about your experiences with the Colorado!

Cheers!

Welcome back. I remember seeing your posts. :happysad:

Thanks!

Welcome back, I'm anxious to hear more about the new truck, I've been thinking about one.

I'll post a comparison thread sometime soon. I also plan on doing an "intro" video for the Colorado and I'll throw some comparisons in there as well.

You're on probation.

We'll see. A course of rehab may be necessary to rid your system of hyundai complications.

Maybe a shot of penicillin too. Cant hurt.

welcome back. i don't remember you cause i'm new....

You're forgiven. :freak:

Welcome back FP! I knew you couldn't stay gone for too long lol congrats on the new ride!

A friend of mine here at work just bought a Colorado as well but he opted for the 4 banger diesel!! Hell of a nice truck

They had a diesel on the lot at the dealer I bought mine from. However the extra price tag was just too much for me.

I just traded my 15 colorado z71 for a silverado z71. Loved the colorado, just not enough room for my two kids in the back, especially on 8-10 hour trips. Congrats!!

Makes sense. I will say though, the Colorado crew cab has more room in the rear than my 2014 double Cab.

Well that took longer than I thought it would.....

Yea its been a long time coming actually. About 6 weeks deliberating.

Well, you never really left as you chimed in here to there. Really interested in the midsize, may trade down myself. Would love to see a comparison post if you have the time.

That's true. I just like talking about trucks! I plan on doing a comparison video soon when I have time.

Luckily my trade in value on the Santa Fe was only $1000 less than I paid. Really pleased with that. The dealer I worked with was great, very low pressure, and I thought they were fair. They came down on the Coly sticker about $1700. And also applied another $2000 rebate. So I actually ended up lowering my monthly note, and only spending $1500 out of pocket for the Coly. Everyone is happy.

Welcome back... I have the same 3.6 VVT engine in my '15 Acadia Denali. It's a great engine. Plenty of power, torque and pretty much bullet-proof. I have enjoyed your Youtube videos very much.
