Please help with Codes on a 2003 Yukon SLT

zmann96

Question

I have a 2003 Yukon SLT 5.3l 4x4 auto, ( non flex fuel) I have been trying the pass my emissions test since last November. I had a code for the knock sensors. I replaced them and the has gone away. After that and before I went for the re-inspection I got a P1010 code. I put a new MAF sensor and cleared and drove a few hundred miles. The code came back along with P1072 and P0175. I had installed prior to the initial inspection a set of MSD high output coils, 8mm wires and new plugs. Since the P1010 and the P1072 and P1075 I've replaced the air filter when I replaced the MAF. The fuel pressure is OK. I've checked for air leaks before the intake manifold and replaced the intake manifold gasket but those I thought would cause a lean mixture and not a rich mixture ?? I do have an exhaust leak on both exhaust manifolds but not real bad. I did have the transmission rebuilt prior to my initial inspection. It has been getting around 20mpg on the highway not by the computer but by mileage and gas used. It has a slight rough idle but is not stalling. I'm thinking it may be the ECU ? I thought a leak in the exhaust would cause a lean mixture as well ? I hate to keep throwing money at things that are good. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

When it comes to MAF, MAP, FTP and throttle position sensors, I strongly advise getting the actual GM part for those. I've had nothing but issues with the aftermarket stuff for some reason.

Thanks for the info. it's been a real pain. I just brought back the last MAF I purchased at Advanced in January and they gave me a new one. I put it in and I'll put some miles on it this weekend with cold starts and miles. this will be my 3rd MAF sensor??? Thanks again
