I figured it wouldn't last long, the Apple car play worked great for about a month, still using the same cable. Radio doesn't recognize the phone, it does display the Bluetooth symbol, and calls work, but I really enjoyed the full projection options.

The other problem is the volume is always too low to hear, so I'm bumping the volume up at the first call each time I plug it in.

I'm sure GM blames Apple and Apple blames GM.

Your cable most likely failed

For the volume issue, could it be your phone volume is actually very low? I know with my iPod if I have the volume very low and plug it in, I have to crank my stereo volume up. If I have my iPod volume half way, then it's fine and I can adjust the truck's volume minimally.

It's new, but it's not Apple, I'll try another.

Turn off your phone and restart it a couple of times. That worked for me.

That's easy, I'll try that.

Also try all the different USB ports

Tried both, nothing plugged into the extra one.

My volume is never low on the phone,it's the radio knob that's usually about 10%, I don't have the steering wheel controls.
