Wireless headphones vehicle specific?

Recommended Posts

Bought a 2017 Tahoe a week ago with second row DVD. After getting home we realized the dealer didn't have the wireless headphones and remote in the vehicle. They sent them via UPS, but the box has the dealer stock number for a different vehicle. The remote works, but I cannot get the headphones to work. They have fresh batteries. Even tried a name brand set instead of the junk/cheap ones that came with. Tried both channels and varying volume levels on 2 of the 4 sets of headphones.

Anyone know if the headphones are on a vehicle specific frequency or have any other ideas?

Update in case anyone else runs into this.

Headphones and system changed to digital in 2017. Dealer sent me the wrong headphones. The ones I received are for a 2016 and are analog. Digital sets say "Digital" in white lettering on the backs of the ear pieces.

Thanks for confirming. I knew the '17 Yukon Denali w/ rear seat entertainment was updated to have HDMI input over analog. Guess it makes sense the headphones did the same.
