Interesting tow vehicle

Recommended Posts

Saw a late model ram 1500 cc/SB 4x4 pulling a fifth wheel today. Tires ballooned pretty good and looked to be riding on bump stops. I got in front of him and as we drove through construction (lane shifted into emergency lane partially) the uneven pavement made the truck look like it was about to roll. Just crazy.

My neighbor purchased a used 5th wheel at the same time that I purchased our new 5th wheel. He also had a Ram 1500. I was trying to tell him that his 5th wheel was going to be way too heavy for his 1500. He would not listen to me. He left on a trip just before we left on our first big trip. 6 weeks later, when we got back from our trip I saw a different truck in front of his house. You guessed it, it was a Ram 2500. Don't know what happened, if anything because I haven't had a chance to talk to him.

my dad , he is getting funny as he gets old.

his last pickup was a 390 ford, with a 4 speed. It rode so rough my brother was born...1974.

he waits 42 years to go get a new 2016 gmc...

and he's now wanting this jacked up duramax, getting angry over his "little" 345hp half ton. :)

he has been trucking for 40 years, now at 6 million miles. He parks next to his 2016 peterbilt.. his 12th rig.

it gets the best of people.

If he goes new diesel, I have a surprise for him (I still build things)

For me and gas powered? I learned the open C-rails from the 70s. I do go beyond the numbers on the door by the time chores are done.

I don't know what I made of my own 1996.

it must start with a v8 manual trans from factory. I go from there at a minimum.

I'd go with what gm built today, the categories. No cheating.

Some claim that was part of their loss.. older hackers like me who learned the rails. (change weight categories)
