Barman84
i just purchased a used 2014 crew for a killer deal. But it left me with a lack of options. I have an io6 ready to go and as bad as I want to just pull the io4 out and slap the 6 in I'm sure it won't work that easily. I also have a backup car I am wanting to install and everything I've read says I just need to get the HMI programmed for it and it'll work. Now the question is once I get the HMI programmed can't they get the radio to work as well? Or does the radio itself need to be unlocked?
srttotruck26
youll need the correct harness and a hmi programmed to go from io4-io6. It will cost you around 1500 from MVI or 2500 from a dealership. I went the cheaper route and it works perfectly. The aftermarket radio i bought was all plug and play.
