Anyone know of a kit or what's involved in adding line lock to a k2?

Maybe look into tapping into the one that's already installed in the truck. Figure out how to gain control of it??

Unless there is a kit out you'd probably have to buy the line lock the custom bend the plumbing for it.

Never knew our trucks came with an OEM installed line lock??

I think he meant the electronic brake distribution module. Technically, it could probably do the job of a line lock. As he said though, you'd have to gain control of it somehow and bias the brakes 100% to the front.

Even if that would work and was possible I would never want to use the system in that manner. I've had, and seen, line locks fail in the past the last thing you would want is something going wrong with the OEM dist. module.

Best path to this end result is a dual solenoid layout - one at each front. Very simple install as it's just an inline pass thru, a hot and a ground. You may as well go to braided lines vs oem rubbers while you are there. I use Jegs solenoids - just a personal preference thing honestly as they have been good to me in several vehicles. When messing with brakes in these trucks, always always always do your manipulation after all of the oem electronics. You do not want to back wash or over pressurize the abs controller, stabilitrak, or any of the other components upstream from the caliper. In other words let the solenoid work the caliper only. I mounted the solenoids right on top of the frame rails caught my ground with the mounting bolt right there and then brought passenger side hot lead to the driver side then in to the cabin at the main harness grommet.

I've noticed with these oem calipers that I get a better bite by giving the brake pedal 2 or 3 pumps then hold and engage lock. Otherwise just pressing down and engaging sometimes allows a little bit of roll.

I said that, and yes... they do come with that stock. It's called Hill Start Assist.

It holds applied brake pressure, yes, it's a line lock

Line lock is used in drag racing for burnouts. It hold brake pressure for the front only. Install it in the line off the master. Push pedal, hold button, release pedal. Do burnout, release button.
