Our friends at iSeeCars.com are at it again and this time they have poured over 13 million vehicle data points to determine which models owners are most likely to keep past 200,000 miles. The most interesting thing about the report is that ginormous SUVs dominate this list of long-lasting vehicles.

Among GM vehicles, the Chevy Suburban did the best ranking third overall. To give the vehicles on the list some perspective, iSeeCars.com found that the average percentage of a model's vehicle population over 200K miles was just 1.3. The Suburban has almost 4 times more vehicles on the road with over 200K than the average.

The Silverado edged out the Ford F-150 on this list and the Rams are nowhere to be found. The Toyota Tacoma was again the top vehicle on this list in terms of pickups of any type.

will they ever do a 300k mile list.

uh oh. there goes japan and europe.

that is a huge oddity as you mentioned..

when 2% of 1million pickups versus 2% of whatever else.

I saw a truck that looked just like mine, with antique plates.

whoa.

Never thought I'd see the day.

I still give mine the real state inspection...real reg.(just hit 360k miles)

Any vehicle can have the "longest-lasting" title. It really just depends on how much time & money an individual wants to pour into a vehicle to keep it going. The article fails to mention what percentage of these are 1-owner vehicles and also fails to mention the overall cost of ownership for each respective vehicle.

I don't believe this "still on the road" stuff. I bet this is original owner, not "still on the road" as I could easily find a large number of Ford and GM trucks in used lots with well over 200K on them, and at a nice profit price too.

At the rate I'm going, I'll be thrilled if I make it to 100k miles without my LMG puking it's camshaft bearings into the oil pan.
