Looking for opinions on the best tire out there for my 2016 GMC Yukon XL Denali. 22k miles on the tires now. Starting to ride bad and I am seeing little ripples in the tires. Slight vibration too. I want to buy the best ones and cost is not an issue. Looking for a smooth ride. What do you guys think?

I ran Michelin's for many years on older GM trucks with 16 wheels and they performed great. lasted 90,00 miles per set and rode wonderful so when I got my 2014 with 20" wheels I just like this poster at around 25k had the factory Goodyear SRA's wearing unevenly and were beating the truck (and me) to death. I put a set of Michelin's and they rode great HOWEVER with the 20" tires DO NOT expect the high mileage, they were looking very bad at around 40,000 miles when I traded the truck and there was noway I was going to see anything close to 90,000 miles on the 20" set. I will be checking back in on this thread as I am at 18,000 on my 2016 Denali with 20" tires and i am seeing some significant wear patterns on the factory GoodYear SRA's I would like to find a good set of tires also.

In the rain these cheap factory tires make the truck dangerous to drive in the rain without all the trucks safety features (traction control/stabiltrac) turned on. In the past the Michelin's have performed great in the rain.

Michelin defender and expect a drastic improvement in your truck. Best money I put into my truck. Smooth, compliant, great in the rain wearing great so far. I had the goodyears and bridgestones on both prior trucks in this same platform. They were both horrible. Don't hesitate there is no better tire for this truck. They are a little more money but as with most Michelins it's still worth it because they have a good deep tread.

Just got some 22" Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenzas on my wife's 16 Denali XL today. Her original Bridgestones lasted 52,500 without a single issue, so we stuck with the same... I "upgraded" to Michelins on my last truck (Ram 1500) and my wife's Jeep Grand Cherokee and neither set lasted worth a damn, so I'll be staying away from the French stuff in the future...

Just put the Michelin Defenders on 2 weeks ago and drove from Michigan to Florida and back. Huge improvement, so smooth. Glad I did it before I left. I have a 2015 Suburban LTZ with 22" tires.

At 35k the stock Bridgestone Dueller H/L Alenzas are just about done. In reading here it seems Michelin is the go to for most. Any body used the Pirelli Scorpion Verde on a Tahoe or Suburban? I have had several sets on my VW Touareg and previous Audi Q7 and they always held up well (45k-50k miles). Given my experience I am sure they will work great but thought I would ask anyway.

When you rotate the tires are you having them balanced?  They should be balanced as they wear.

As for new tires and a highway tread, there's non better than the LTX Defenders IMO.
