2016 All Terrain Front Diff Locker?

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone,
I went to the Orielly spring national drag races this weekend in Houston. The parking lot is just a grass field which turns into a mud pit after everyone parks and leaves. I had to pull a 2wd Silverado out when i left as his street tires and 2wd were his downfall. I pulled him out with no issue or slipping of the tires. But It made me wonder if the Front diff. has a locker too. I know the Rear comes with the Eaton locker. but I am uncertain about the front. It would be sweet to have one for those super sticky issues.

Anyone have any idea if they have a front locker? If not, can one be added?

Thanks!

AS stated, no locker on the front from the factory. Typical lockers are great for off-road but can cause issues on snow/ice as they can cause the vehicle to walk sideways when on a zero traction material.

Most people would crank the wheel full lock and rip the front end apart the first time they tried to use a front locker. To avoid mass destruction by collective retardation, GM does not give you that option.

Does not have one, you can add one if you want to, but if you do make it an electric locker

I could do an Electric locker. The question now is, can you get into the front diff? And if so, what about gear swap on both diffs to a higher gear!?
