Chevy announced this morning that the first batch of Colorado ZR2 pickups has shipped. The new off-road trucks left the Wentzville, MO plant and will be delivered to customers in May (this month). The above image shows a truck being loaded and headed out. Interestingly, the truck at the top-front position looks very much like the one that our member, Joey Karr has on order and is expecting to take delivery of this month.

The last update we had regarding deliveries was from buyers who were posting up their estimated delivery dates at the Facebook Colorado ZR2 Club. This morning, members of the club are now posting up delivery dates as early as May 9th. Dan C posted up, "Dealer called today, my truck should be ready for pick up on 5/9." Grey G. was kind enough to post the e-mail he got from Chevy, which said "Hello! I am contacting you for your weekly status update for your 2017 Chevrolet Colorado. Congratulations! At this time, your vehicle has been produced! The VIN is: (XXXXX). However, the vehicle is not yet in transit. For further information, you can contact your dealer at this time. I will send you another update next Friday letting you know if the vehicle is in transit yet!"

  • 2 weeks later...

I spotted a black ZR2 on Jarvis street in Ferndale MI on Saturday the 6th. I was in a Uber so I wasn't able to get a pick. It definitely stands out from a 4X4 or Z71 Colorado. It had the spare tire in the bed and I noticed ORV stickers in the back window. It didn't shine much; like it hadn't been washed in a while. I don't think it was a fresh delivery, but I looked sweet nonetheless.
