T1XX 2500/3500HD 2020?

Any news on this? I'm guessing if the 1/2 tons are on the T1XX platform as a 2019 model the HD's will get new sheet metal as a 2020 model?

The 2017 L5P will continue as the duramax for at least 5 years. This based on LML being offered 2011-2016.

These assumptions based on the GMT900 to K2XX transition history.

6.0 will be replaced with a direct injected gas 6.x? Timeframe?

Nothing solid yet. Word is they will follow the 1500's about a year after they are introduced. There is a rumor that a new gasoline engine may be under development for the GM/Navistar medium duty trucks, if true such an engine might be offered in the new HD's.

I agree, the L5P is very likely.

I wonder about the chassis and suspension. K2XX HD's use the 2011-up GMT-900 chassis with a few minor modifications, will the T1XX's continue on that platform?

No T2XX HD prototypes have been spotted to my knowledge yet.

Anyone know why GM abandoned torsion bars on half tons but still use torsion bar suspension on HD trucks?

Torsion bars are easier to adjust to correct the putting on/taking off a plow.

Not a concern of GM, all they care about is $$$.

No one actually lowers the torsion bars when the plow is off...
