What kind of ranchos come on all terrain chevys and gmcs?

So I'm looking at upgrading my shocks on my 2016 GMC Sierra, was going to go with fox shocks because that's what I have on my Jeep Wrangler. After researching fox shocks I found the price is very high $400 just for the back, then I found rancho 5000 $500 for front and back. So my question is what shocks come on higher model sierra and chevys? They are ranchos but not 5000? Does anyone know?

they are sourced specifically for the gm pickups. Most likely the cheapest version, IMO the 5000s would be an improvement over the stock Ranchos.

That's what I thought, so it's pretty much white paint on a standard shock. I think I'm going to go with the 9000 xL for the extra $200 bucks with the life time warranty

They ride ok, but they are crap quality. my truck is 6 months old, always garaged, just over 900 miles on it, never driven in snow or rain, and the shocks are starting to rust already

Sorry but they where a great shock then sold out to a corporation that is all about profit.

My opinion is the ones Gm uses are nothing more than a Monroe shock painted white with a red cap and a sticker.

They work but not well they rust easy and tend to leak.

I agree, I just don't see why they wouldn't use rancho 5000 at least? For a new upgraded truck like the z71 is over 50k. Think there customer would be worth it
