foglight bulbs for yukon denali?

Recommended Posts

know this is the truck forum, but there is alot more volume in this place. what foglight bulbs can I get that would match the headlights on a 2017 yukon denali?? I can't believe on a 70k SUV my '16 all-terrain has better headlights and foglights....and they actually match, unlike the denali.

5000k bulbs would match the color, but their in a reflector housing which is going to blind oncoming traffic with LEDs or HIDs.

I purchased these for my Yukon Denali fogs. Well worth the cost. Direct replacement and 100% usable/effective light.

I've heard really good things about these fog lights, even the equivalent models offered for other truck platforms.  Although they're only 1200 Lumens each, like you said the housing and projector lense creates light output that is more usable/affective than the stock fog light assemblies or possibly moreso than just throwing in aftermarket "4000 LM" LED bulbs into the factory housing.

Would love to see some night time pictures of how these fogs look in your Yukon Denali!  With and without headlights to see how well they match the stock headlights and from inside the car viewing the "usable light output" pattern would be very beneficial for those of us considering these fog lights.

Here are some photos from both within the vehicle and outside for comparison. Both with just fogs and then fogs and headlights. I'll try to distinguish but am posting from my phone so we'll see how this goes...

First three Inside with fogs only. Next three inside fogs and headlights. Last two outside with fogs only so you can see the cutoff and side throw...

Just what I was looking for, thanks for posting!

The lights look great and they match the stock LED and HID lighting very well.  You can definitely tell that the throw of the light pattern from the projector is much wider than the factory fog light housing.

I was told by rep at The Retro Source that they (morimoto XB LED Fog lights) will fit the 17 Yukon Denali but you need to make a slight adjustment on the harness (shave it with a file) so that it will make a solid connection.  The actual housing will fit flush with no issues but you need to do a slight mod.

I can tell you that i did this update on my Sierra and the morimoto LED fog lights blew away the stock halogen fog lights.

I plan on doing this next week to 17 Yukon.

To be honest... you don't even have to modify. I hooked them up to test and it was a tight connection. I have just been too lazy to get back under there and file the plastic notch and everything has been fine. It's still a positive/secure connection. Outside of that, everything fits completely as stock on my Yukon XL Denali. Well worth it IMO compared to alternatives given the precise light output.

Btw... I'm running Morimoto XB 6500k HIDs in the low beam for reference.
