Took my GM performance(Corsa) muffler off

I wanted a little more sound out of the truck, Removed the GM performance(corsa) muffler and ordered a magnaflow 12249. The gm exhaust had a good sound, just a little quieter than I want. Surprised that the gm muffler was 34" long.

Got to love Amazon prime! The magnaflow will be here today!

The Muffler got delivered yesterday! maybe i can get it bolted up this afternoon before I have to catch a flight.

Just an update on the Magnaflow 12249.

 

Go it installed and it sounds fantastic. not to loud, not to quiet. I feel that the pickup is a little quicker with this straight through muffler.

 

While the truck was up in the air, I noticed how much room is under the bed area. Now I am fantasizing a rear mounted turbo!

 

 

 

If anyone around the Houston, TX area wants the gm performance (Corsa) muffler for $25 bucks, let me know!

also I believe the GMPP is Borla not Corsa - from what I've read anyway

It is indeed a Corsa system.

Sorry I sold it some time ago. Just getting back onto the thread as I am trying to decide what my next upgrade is for the truck.

this was not a direct swap replacement, but not expensive either. unbolted the gm muffler and welded new muffler to flanges and bolted back up. Exhaust guy charged me $50.
