GM might be in trouble now....

Just about everyone is doing this which tells me one thing, these standards are ridiculous and can not be met. Leave it to the government to come up with something and try to enforce it when they have no clue about it themselves.

Yep... that about sums it up.

It all started with International heavy duty trucks and has cascaded on downward to consume every OEM eventually. This straining at a gnat on emissions is getting way out of hand. The typical diesel engine of pre-emission days, it would take several dozen of today's emissions control equipped diesel engines (even the ones that are supposedly non compliant) to match the emissions output of just one.

This is just ambulance chasing lawyers run amok. One article I read on this said that two Dmax owners had filed suit. Another said that it is a class action involving 705,000 Dmax owners. I know of no Dmax owner that was even contacted to join the class action. But that number suggests that these enterprising lawyers are seeking to include every Dmax owner in the country. Even those who live in states that have no emissions testing requirements.

Does this mean someone is going to investigate me for turning all my lights on on Earth Day?

Frankly I don't think you could come up with that many Duramax owners to file a lawsuite if you tried! That is BS!

Right by where I work, there is a raceway Pikes Peak International Raceway. There are many acres of Volkswagen & Audi cars/SUVs from the buyback from the software lawsuit.

I think the typical VW owner is different than a Dmax owner. After the VW fiasco, I saw a report that had owners here in Canada that were very upset about the matter. For the Dmax owner, unless the motor didn't perform as they hoped, I'm sure they are happy truck owners.

Any deisel truck owner I know and when I had Dmax's we were always triing to see how much smoke we could make, not worry about how much emmissions I was putting out!
