JRoyPDX
I know the simple way to find out if you have e85 capability on the 2014-2016 was to just look at the gas cap. Now the 2017 is capless and I can't find an answer anywhere. Where on the truck would the ethanol content sensor be mounted? Sierra706
If you can't easily tell, it probably isn't. Stop by the dealer and ask them to punch in your vin and look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I was kind of thinking the same thing. Dealership guys said it was when I bought it, but they didn't seem like they had a clue. If I get curious enough I'll check with a different dealer. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
dasimmon
i believe the code is LC9 in the glovebox
newdude
Look on the lower corner of your driver's door window there is a sticker that says FLEXFUEL if its compatible. Or, check your glovebox RPO label (SPID label) and look for the following RPO code: FHO: Vehicle Fuel Gasoline E10 (NOT a FlexFuel Truck) FHS: Vehicle Fuel Gasoline E85 (FlexFuel Truck) i believe the code is LC9 in the glovebox That was the RPO code for the all aluminum 5.3 engine in the GMT-900 trucks 2007-2013. SilveradoSaver
Don't the trucks usually have FlexFuel branding on the tail gate too?

E85 stations are few and far between in Oregon.......... http://e85vehicles.com/e85-Oregon.htm We actually have a really good local station and we all run our evos on it. Their e85 almost always tests higher than 85% (usually 87-89) 2017 Silverado 1500 Z71 4x4 Regular Cab Short Bed
