Transmission leaks

When my 1985 s10 is sitting still not running at all I lose transmission fluid. As long as its running it doesn't. Will lose 2quarts over night. But as long as its running whether sitting still or going down the road nothing happens. What's going on with it. O even sitting not running if I put fluid in it when I go back out its on the ground some.

Exactly what area of the trans is leaking??? Trans pan rear / front / left or right side??? Trans dipstick tube area??? Trans cooler lines??? Torque convertor area??? Prindle shaft??? When a trans gets hot, the aluminum expands and tightens a leaking seal. Now we need to know in what area of the trans.
