26 inch Rims on 2014+?

Recommended Posts

I want to get some 26's on my 2017 Sierra Denali. Curious of anyone has put 26's and could give me some info or post up some pics. Curoius about ride tire size. I would keep my 22's and put snow tires and just run the 26's during the summer Here's the rims I want to purchase. 2nd pic is my truck.

The rims are Lexani Lust 26 chrome.

It would ride like crap and it would look silly on a pickup.

I seen a few pics and to me it looks pretty slick on a truck. With 24s I can save some cash and I think that would look a little more conservative I'm trying to stay away from the homie in the hood look

Haters i'm gonna get some 32's with big rubber bands around them and come to your houses and do doughnuts on your front lawns

Might snap a rear axle shaft with those on, so the donut wouldn't last too long. Would be cool to see but you'd also have about 2/32nds of tread left on those things after 1 donut. [emoji23]

Man put it this way, it's your cash, do with it what you will. We aren't gonna beat you up too bad [emoji1417]

Whatever you like is what YOU like and don't let anyone convince you otherwise. I'm sure if they had a chrome bedliner out there, someone would buy it.

I'm toying with the idea but I'm kinda thinking you all are right. To be honest I just dont really like the OEM 22's on my Denali I thought they were chrome and a week later I realized they were powder coated with plastic chrome inserts. Kinda disappointing. I'm open to suggestions.

Do what you like - it's your truck. Most people on this forum are the ones who like a lift, knobby tires, truck nuts and never go off road. Don't worry about them.

Those rims look nice, but I think 26's might be a little much. I'd probably take a look at the 24's.

Coming from a generation who lowered a fair number of cars in my life (remember Bell-Tech offset spindles....??) out in California, I've always thought the look was cool to put some 50 series tires on a set of 16" rims and lower the vehicle to get rid of any fender well gap.

Unfortunately, the rims are getting too large in size so you have to put very low profile tires on them to keep the tires from interfering with wheel wells. The other main issue is safety. Tires act as a suspension component. Super low profile tires negate this and what you end up with are lots of bent lips on the rims.

Back in the day, the tire shops wouldn't even mount a set of super low profile tires because the load rating is so drastically reduced. It was a liability. Give thought to this if you plan on hauling around a bunch of heavy gear or family members or if you plan on towing.
