Decal Opinion

Recommended Posts

I love my new black bowties, and noticed there are black decals available for the bed area. Has anyone installed the black Z71 stickers? Part # 23221557 ?

Think it would look good or bad on my 2017 Silver Ice crew cab?

For reference, the black/silver decal, and my current truck decal.

Thanks!

I've blacked out my Z71 and bought some stickers off Ebay for $12.95 that are very similar to the ones you posted. If they are not GM parts you could not tell. I say go for it, they look awesome.

The top decal is for Sierra trucks, the bottom one is for Silverado. Sierra decals don't say Off road.

There is also that sierra decal with 4x4 below the z71... obviously for the 4x4 models.

Looks great! Hard to install and get straight? Did old ones come off easy?

SIde note, what wheels are those? Look kinda like my OEM ones but black?

Oh weird, but good to know. That pic I shared was a screenshot from the accessories website for my truck at chevy site ha.

I like the splash of red in the decal, esp on a silver or blue truck.

Me too, kinda breaks it up, I am still debating :)

I will give you a good pic as soon as I get my butt outside.i have these on my 14 z71. I love the black and silver. I have pics on my iPhone but it is in my center console as I currently use the galaxy s8. I posted the pics on another post but I can't seem to remember which one.

I have those exact decals and I love em.

I vote for the black - different - the red I like too but everyone has them. U can always float them on with water or Windex, which allows for repositioning. Then squeegy out any bubbles. I always but down blue tape to line up to - But most peeps just eyeball it.

Here's a nice decal set I found for my 6.2L Max Tow............

Very simple to take off and install. I used a hair dryer to loosen the decal..you could use that or a heat gun, they peeled right off. Mine didnt leave any residue. And i just eyeballed it when i put the new ones on. My wheels are the stock wheels that i plasti dipped. Turned out really well. It was about a 6 hr process done right. Now, i know i like them black so if i want later i can get them powder-coated. Good luck!
