1999 GMC Yukon o2 sensor bypass?

Recommended Posts

I have a 1999 GMC Yukon 4wd, ( The old body style ) and was looking for information about bypassing o2 sensors. The cats are out of it now and i'm going to be putting a new exhaust on soon, also without cats. I've heard of resistors, sensor " spacers" but don't know whats best or who sells them. Any info would be great.

I had my 97 tuned and i definitely noticed a difference in throttle response and it also revs out more depending on throttle position.

I left my o2s after the cats in but m sure they could tune them out.

I would highly recommend them.

I also installed this for better flow

Reprogram the ecm. Lt1swap.com. take the security system out at the same time

Thanks for the info, I will probably end up doing some sort of tune whether it be with LT1 or blackbear.

I've still got stock exhuast and all, probably going to stick with no cats and put a better muffler on. Just looking to clear the engine codes and run a little better.

My stock cats had 180k on them truck ran fine but would throw a o2 sensor code. Noticed a difference in power and sound after exhaust. And felt more power after tune.
