DEF tank

Recommended Posts

On the diesel forums someone has posted about an aftermarket outfit working on a kit, but no news of one being released.

Other than this thread, haven't heard any rumor of GM building a kit.

I think it's Performance Diesel that's working on it. Can't remember which forum I read thread on but the OP was looking for AMP steps as well.

Same boat here. I just called amp and they said the 2017 steps shoukd be released by the end of next month. Also looking for info on a relocate def kit or some sort of aftermarket skid to at least help the looks of it.

I have an Ore-fab skid plate on mine since 2012. They started out as a "No-drill" install but the AMP steps used one of the same body bolts so they changed the bracket so you needed to drill one hole to install it. Bad thing is I heard that they were no longer in business, but I would check for one. :jester:

Just ran into a guy today at a CVS in CA. I was stopped in my tracks when I saw AMP steps on his 17 Duramax! Asked him about the steps and he said some company in Upland put them on. He was tight lipped about the specifics but he said AMP just came out with them. Wish I would have taken a pic. Of course, I called AMP and they are clueless. BUT I SAW THEM, I SWEAR :D Didn't cover the tank as much as I thought they would but it looked clean!

Seeing the guy mentioned Upland CA and knowing there's a few big upgrade type shops for trucks, etc. in that area...... Via another forum I'm on I sought out one of the members as he is tied into one of those shops and it turns out he may of been most likely the one that installed them on the truck you had saw that day. He say's they received a decent size shipment of power steps when the manufacturer started shipping that fit the 17-18 2500’s and he still has some in stock.:)

The shops name for those interested would be HTW Motorsports in Upland, CA located at 356 E Foothill Blvd, Upland CA 91786. ‪(909) 946-3338
